Concert Receives Prestigious Stephen Dupuis CRS Award at 40th Annual BILD Awards

September 18, 2020 - Concert is proud to announce that it is the recipient of the 2020 BILD Awards’ prestigious Stephen Dupuis Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award.

Named after late BILD President and CEO Stephen Dupuis, who championed BILD’s charitable community partnerships and commitment to supporting community, this Pinnacle award, BILD’s highest distinction, is presented to an organization that is committed to corporate social responsibility, is conscious of the social impacts of its operations, and actively supports efforts to enhance the industry's reputation.

Recipients of this award must show that they have taken into consideration the kind of impact they have on all aspects of society including economic, social and environmental, and that, in the normal course of business, is operating in ways that enhance society and the environment.

“Concert is proud of our sustainability accomplishments and we, like all Canadians, now face serious issues that require a new way of thinking about sustainability,” says Dave Ramslie, VP Innovation & Sustainability. “Our new Sustainability Framework lays out a plan for the next 30 years that will make Concert a leader in all three aspects of sustainability - economic, environmental and social.”

While honouring applicants who take active steps to minimize their environmental footprint, the award also considers whether applicants provide tangible societal and economic benefits beyond the confines of their enterprise, toward the broader community.

“We are honoured to accept this award because it recognizes the ways that we have worked, over the last three decades, to elevate our business partnerships, as well as the communities we are part of, and investing in the future of our industry,” says Brian McCauley, President and CEO of Concert. “Our multi-faceted approach to building for the future, which is rooted in our core values and our Sustainability Framework, reflects our overarching goal of making a positive impact to the fabric of Canadian communities.”
