Concert Properties receives SHARE's 2021 “New Community Partner Award”

Each year SHARE Family and Community Services, based in Coquitlam, BC, recognizes a number of special community members and partners who have supported their work in the community over the past year.

This year, Concert Properties has been chosen to receive the “New Community Partner Award” for 2021.  This award is selected by the senior management of SHARE and is given to an organization, company or individual that has made a substantial contribution to SHARE that has had a significant impact on the citizens of the Tri-Cities.

Concert is partnering with SHARE through its sister organization 43 Housing to introduce 100 new, below-market homes to the TriCities area that will have a lasting impact on the community. As part of a larger project involving the City of Coquitlam, the YMCA of Greater Vancouver, BC Housing, Concert is also bringing over 1,000 units of rental housing as well as recreation and community amenity space to the surrounding community, forming the largest single infusion of rental accommodation in BC.

By working together, this partnership is helping to address the affordable housing crisis in the Lower Mainland by providing accessible, dignified, and non-stigmatizing housing to those need it. Brian McCauley, Concert President & CEO, accepted the award on behalf of Concert at a virtual ceremony at SHARE’s Annual General Meeting on June 16, 2021.
